For many years as a professional chef Abe has been making & using Black Gold. The product was born out of his love for sauces. Initially it was used to enhance the appearance of a plate with a thin black line drizzled around the food and as an interesting taste addition, but later on it was used more and more in dishes as an ingredient. The recipe has been fine-tuned over time to capture the best flavor and ensure consistency.

When Kikka was started in 2004 the Black Gold recipe came with and here it was also used on plates as garnish and as a salad dressing. Soon people started asking for stock for themselves to use at home or to buy as a gift. The demand for the product grew steadily and it was decided to bottle and sell the product on our deli shelf.

With time distributors approached us asking if they too could add it to their product range. We thought it best to separate the product from our coffee shop and restaurant business and in 2006 we founded AB Products. 

We currently supply retail stores throughout the country and will soon launch new and exciting products to complement the range.
